Methods for Adding a Tracer:

  1. Manually through the Clicx desktop version.
  2. Scanning a QR code with the Clicx mobile app.
  3. Manually connecting tracers via the Clicx mobile app (without QR codes).

 

1. Manually Adding a Tracer via Clicx Desktop Version

To add a tracer to an asset manually using the Clicx desktop interface, follow these steps:

  • Open the asset you want to connect to a tracer from the Assets list.
  • Scroll down to locate the Tags section.

 

 

Important:

It is crucial to select the correct type of tracer (Passive, Active, BLE, or Quupa) to ensure compatibility with the Clicx system.

  • Enter the tracer's Identifier Code, which can be found on the Clicx tracer itself.
  • Once the code is entered, click Pair Tag to link the tracer to the asset successfully.

 

2. Adding a Tracer via QR Code (Clicx Mobile App)

Using the Clicx mobile app, you can easily add a tracer to an asset by scanning its QR code. Follow these steps:

  • Tap Scan QR from within the app. This will activate your device’s camera.
  • If the QR code is unrecognized, the system will prompt you to select the correct tag type (Passive, Active, BLE, or Quupa).
  • If the QR code is a valid Clicx code, the system will prompt you to choose the asset to which the tracer should be connected.
  • If the QR code is already associated with an asset, the app will display the relevant asset details.

3. Manually Adding a Tracer via Clicx Mobile App (Without QR Codes)

To manually add a tracer to an asset using the mobile app (without scanning a QR code), follow these steps:

  1. Open the Assets section within the mobile app.
  2. Select the appropriate Category and Subcategory to locate the asset.
  3. Once the desired asset is visible, open it and tap Info.
  4. Scroll down and select Add Other Tag.
  5. On the next page, you can manually enter the tracer details to connect the asset with its tracer.

This method is ideal when QR codes are unavailable or unrecognized, allowing you to manually link tracers to assets in a straightforward manner.
